RENOVATION UPDATE!

Starting the weekend of August 7th and 8th

we will begin celebrating all liturgies at 

St. Mary Church-Albee

5661 Fergus Rd

St. Charles, MI 48655

 

Work will begin the week of August 2, 2001. All St. Michael funerals, weddings, and baptisms will be celebrated at St. Mary Church-Albee until the renovation is complete.

One of the first things on the agenda is removing all the pews. We would like to give parishioners an opportunity to have a piece of St. Michael history. If you would like a pew, please call the parish office at 989-845-7011 by Wednesday, July 28th. and leave your name and number. If there is more demand than pews available, we will hold a drawing so that everyone has a fair chance at a pew. Pickup will be announced next weekend.

In an effort to keep the project within budget we are looking for volunteers to preform demolition work (pews, carpet, miscellaneous walls, and raised wood floor at the alter). If you have some free time and would like to help, please call Randy Henige at 989-751-0906. He will be organizing volunteers as needed.

Memorial Day Mass

There will be a 9 am Memorial Day Mass at St. Michael. Due to the forecasted morning temperature on Monday, Mass will be in church rather than in the cemetery.

Diocese of Saginaw survey!

St. Michael will be participating in a Diocese of Saginaw survey!  

 SURVEY LINK

St. Michael will be participating in a diocese wide survey about discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute!  We need your help! 

 

Please help us by participating in a 10-15 minute survey online.  The survey can be accessed through an online link from February 17th – March 23rd and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow.  All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as whole. 

 

If you prefer a paper copy you may pick up a paper copy of the survey after weekend Masses.  They will be located in the Narthex.   To submit the completed paper survey, please drop in the collection baskets at the entrances or to the parish office prior to March 15th.

Mass will Resume

St. Michael will resume public Masses this weekend with the 5:00 pm Saturday Vigil Mass and the 8:30 am Sunday Mass. Previously shared Covid-19 guidelines shall be adhered to. The Sunday obligation has been dispensed though August 30, 2020. Those not feeling well or in the vulnerable population should not attend. The church will be sanitized after every liturgy to ensure the safety of those attending.
